Privacy policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what personal information W&M Media collects when you use this website or contact us, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
The data controller is WINDOW TINTING LTD, trading as W&M Media, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17426382, registered office 5 Gold Hill, Edgware, England, HA8 9BY. You can reach us at w.mmedia026@gmail.com or 07350 683117.
What we collect
When you send the quote form we collect your name, phone number, the car make and model, which windows you want tinted, an optional preferred date, an optional message, your consent tick and the language you used the site in. If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we hold whatever you choose to send us in that message.
Why we use it and our legal basis
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a booking and carry out the work. The legal basis is your consent when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact a business about its services. Where we have carried out work for you, we keep the record to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data and we do not share it for marketing. Your enquiry is stored with our website and database hosting providers, who process it on our instructions only. If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Records connected to work we carried out are kept for six years, as required for tax and accounting, and for the duration of the 2-year installation warranty.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, to withdraw consent at any time, and to receive your data in a portable format. Email w.mmedia026@gmail.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in a database that only we can read. Access is limited to the people who need it to reply to you and carry out the work.
